About Me

My novel, La Mia Sorella, My Sister, was inspired by these two women- my great aunt on the left and my grandmother on the right.  It is my homage to them, their homeland, Italy, their faith and family.  Since I didn't have any children to pass on Italian traditions and culture,  I did the next best thing. 

 I  "birthed a story" in their honor.

The sisters  began their lives in Calabria, Italy before emigrating to the USA in the 1930s.  

Writing is a solitary gig made complete by those who read and interact with me and one another in community.  My hope is that conversations about the complexity, joy and struggles of relationships can benefit others.

This is my first foray into novel writing, blogging, connecting and building a community of people whose hearts are open to meaningful dialogue and upliftment.  Stay tuned as we traverse new ground together!
